"Tusen tack," Swedish for "a thousand thanks"

The very first instrument I learned how to play was the violin, but I never learned to read sheet music. Instead I learned as part of a children's fiddle group at the American Swedish Institute, where my sister and I were taught traditional Swedish folk songs by ear. I participated from age 6 to age 14, and my violin grew with me, from a quarter-size to a full-size. At the same time we also participated in the ASI's children's folk dancing group.

These songs were a huge part of my childhood and I'm excited to share how I've reinterpreted them after they've been stuck in my brain for over 20 years.
